HB 3100 Summary

• Prohibits any third party, including the Bureau of Land Management and federal government entities, from claiming duly recorded and deeded property as public land.

• Protects all accretion (naturally occurring additions) of duly recorded property from being claimed as public land.

• Prohibits any third party from claiming or using duly recorded property for recreational purposes without the legal owner's written agreement.

• Codifies these protections in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 351 of Title 60 (public land claims) and Section 352 of Title 60 (recreational use).

• Effective date: November 1, 2016.
