OK HB3142

Establishes the "Oklahoma State Government Open Records One-Stop Initiative" requiring the Chief Information Officer to develop and maintain an online portal at OpenRecords.ok.gov for public records requests.

Requires the Chief Information Officer to retrieve and deliver documents found to be open records under the Oklahoma Open Records Act to requesters in electronic format.

Mandates that requested documents be made available to the public through the data.ok.gov web portal immediately following delivery to the requester.

Does not alter any existing obligations of public officials to comply with the Oklahoma Open Records Act.

Becomes effective November 1, 2017 (amended from original November 1, 2016 date).
