Oklahoma Legislature requests the Corporation Commission recognize that technology center schools are included within the definition of "public schools" under Section 139.102 of Title 17 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

Corporation Commission shall refrain from disrupting Oklahoma Universal Service Fund Internet access funding to technology center schools through December 31, 2017.

Funding covers one access line per public school building at technology center schools serving prekindergarten through twelfth grade students, provided free of charge at 1.5 Mbps minimum speed or equivalent dollar credit toward similar services.

Legislature intends to clarify whether technology center schools have always been eligible for Universal Service Fund Internet access funding by amending the statutory definition of public school.

Copies of the resolution shall be distributed to Corporation Commissioners Todd Hiett, Bob Anthony, and Dana Murphy, and to the Administrator of the Oklahoma Universal Service Fund.
