Supports making screening and identification of students with Dyslexia an educational priority and offering evidence- and research-based educational treatment options to improve literacy rates.

Recognizes the need for more literacy services and resources in Oklahoma schools to provide Dyslexia screening, classroom reading instruction, tutoring, therapy and remediation to address the educational literacy crisis.

Recognizes the need for appropriate teacher training to teach reading to students with Dyslexia and close the reading achievement gap.

Supports increased public awareness of Dyslexia and urges Oklahomans to learn about its impact on students and communities.

Directs distribution of the resolution to the Governor, Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, education institution presidents and deans, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, and Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration.
