Grants the Oklahoma Department of Corrections Investigations Division jurisdiction and authority to investigate escapes committed by prisoners under the Department's custody and control

Authorizes the Department of Corrections to issue arrest warrants for escaped prisoners who violate Section 443 of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes

Warrants issued by the Department carry the same legal force and effect as arrest warrants issued by district courts in Oklahoma

Preserves the authority of district attorneys to independently issue arrest warrants for escapees

Amends 57 O.S. 2011, Section 508.4; passed both chambers on May 26, 2016
