Authorizes a public entity providing sewer or wastewater service to request that a separate public entity providing water service terminate water service to a property with a delinquent sewer account

Requires at least 30 days written notice to the water provider, account holder, and property owner before the proposed termination date

Water service must be restored no later than the first business day after the sewer provider notifies the water provider that the delinquency has been resolved

Public entities wishing to use this termination authority must enact notice and hearing procedures to ensure account holders and property owners receive adequate due process

Effective date: November 1, 2016
