Commissioner of Labor granted authority to establish administrative fees for amusement ride registration and inspection by rule, replacing the previous statutory fee schedule

Eliminates the separate $25 kiddie ride inspection fee category; retains $25 annual registration fee, $50 major amusement ride inspection fee, and $100/hour other rides inspection fee until rules supersede them

Creates the "Department of Labor Administrative Penalty Revolving Fund" to collect administrative fines for amusement ride safety violations, with all funds transferred to the General Revenue Fund at the end of each fiscal year

Commissioner of Labor authorized to establish administrative penalties and fines for amusement ride violations, which may be imposed in addition to or instead of existing criminal penalties (up to $1,000 fine and/or 1 year imprisonment)

Effective date: November 1, 2016
