Storage and recovery of water from aquifers under an Oklahoma Water Resources Board-approved site-specific plan is declared a beneficial use and not waste

Oklahoma Water Resources Board must promulgate rules for permits and plan approvals, including well spacing requirements to prevent interference with existing domestic or permitted groundwater uses

Permit applicants must demonstrate Board approval of their plan, legal access to stored water, compliance with Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality water quality authorizations, and availability of requested water amounts

Permitted aquifer storage and recovery use is in addition to any existing domestic use rights or other permitted uses under current Oklahoma water law

Permits must specify well locations and conditions including withdrawal rates, perforation levels, and well sealing levels
