School districts must complete comprehensive self-assessments on their physical education programs and best practices for each measure assessed

Districts must provide parents and guardians an annual physical activity report, which must also be published on the State Department of Education's website

Required report contents include: amount of PE offered by days/minutes per week, student enrollment in PE classes, whether PE is required for graduation, teacher licensing status, adequacy of facilities and equipment, and accommodations for students with disabilities

Reports must also summarize how physical activity is incorporated into the school day, types of activities offered, suggestions for monitoring children's progress, and information on benefits of physical education

Effective date of July 1, 2016, with emergency clause for immediate implementation upon passage
