School districts operating on a 4-day school week schedule are prohibited from converting to charter schools

Affected districts are ineligible to receive educational improvement grants under Section 2357.206 of Title 68

Affected districts cannot receive or benefit from empowerment scholarship accounts that may be established in the future

State Board of Education is required to promulgate rules implementing these restrictions

Effective date of July 1, 2016, with an emergency clause allowing immediate effect upon passage and approval
