Victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, or stalking may terminate a lease without penalty by providing written notice and either a protective order or police report within 30 days of the incident

Perpetrators of such violence may be held civilly liable for any economic loss the landlord incurs from the early lease termination

Rental agreements cannot include provisions that waive or limit a tenant's right to summon police or other emergency assistance

Landlords are prohibited from denying, refusing to renew, or terminating tenancy because an applicant, tenant, or household member is a victim or alleged victim of domestic violence, sexual violence, or stalking
