Residential care homes may request participation in an informal dispute resolution panel or alternate dispute resolution panel within 30 days of receiving a Statement of Deficiencies from the State Department of Health.

The informal dispute resolution process follows procedures established in Sections 1-1914.3 through 1-1914.10 of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes, and the alternate process follows Sections 1-1914.13 through 1-1914.16 of the same title.

The State Department of Health appoints an impartial dispute resolution panel comprised of two residential care home volunteer representatives, one Department employee with survey experience, one representative from the aging and disabled community (non-state agency), and one lay member not employed by the Department.

The State Board of Health shall promulgate rules to implement the act's provisions.

The act became effective November 1, 2016.
