SB 1527 Summary

• Removes provisions allowing licensure without examination for speech-language pathologists and audiologists in Oklahoma.

• Eliminates the $25.00 examination fee cap and removes language requiring examination costs to be included in the examination fee.

• Authorizes the Board Executive Secretary to issue temporary licenses valid until the next Board meeting or 10 days after application denial, following credentials review.

• Simplifies audiologist requirements by removing obsolete December 31, 2006 transition language and clarifying that applicants with Doctor of Audiology degrees must demonstrate three years of didactic coursework and clinical education equivalent to twelve months full-time.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2016.
