Director of Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation shall have power to appoint or dismiss a Deputy Director with same qualifications as the Director.

Director shall supervise maintaining all reports and records of the Bureau and promulgate administrative rules concerning destruction and retention of records, excluding criminalistic and investigative records which shall be kept forever.

Director shall report to the Commission at regular meetings on current workload of the Bureau by category, including types of investigations pending, opened, and closed, and criminal charges filed, with reports open for public inspection.

Director may enter into local cooperative agreements with law enforcement agencies to appoint affiliate task force agents with general peace officer powers and authority to arrest throughout the state, serving solely at Director's discretion.

Commissioned personnel of the Investigative Services Division shall receive an annual expense allowance up to $1,800.00 per fiscal year for maintenance and cleaning of designated uniforms and/or business professional clothing; effective November 1, 2016.
