Lowers the vote threshold for political party recognition from 10% to 2.5% of total votes cast for Governor or Presidential electors in a General Election

Political parties failing to meet the 2.5% threshold lose recognized status and are redesignated as "political organizations"

Political organization designation terminates after 4 years or when the organization regains party recognition, whichever comes first

State Election Board must proclaim when a party fails to meet the vote threshold and order that party recognition cease

Effective date: November 1, 2016
