School districts may implement graduation recognitions on standard diplomas beginning with the 2020-2021 graduating class for students who complete approved career pathway programs and meet college entrance requirements

Three recognition tiers established: "highest academic distinction" (3.75+ GPA), "academic honors" (3.5+ GPA), and "academic merit" (3.0+ GPA) based on coursework in the student's chosen career pathway

Approved programs of study must include at least 6 credits within a career pathway, incorporating AP courses, career and technical education, STEM courses, or concurrent enrollment college courses

Recognitions may be indicated on both the diploma and high school transcript
