State Board of Education must collaborate with Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education to define "college readiness" based on student performance on state assessments, ACT, SAT, or other college placement tests

Definition determines whether students are prepared for college-level, credit-bearing coursework in English language arts, literacy, and mathematics

Transition courses or other instructional opportunities must be developed for 12th grade students who have not achieved college readiness by the end of 11th grade

Transition courses available beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, must include student assessment after completion, and cannot replace courses required for high school graduation
