OK SJR66

Directs the Governor to appoint the Commissioner of Insurance by and with Senate consent for a 4-year term concurrent with the Governor's term, replacing the elected position.

Amends Section 1 of Article VI of the Oklahoma Constitution to add the Commissioner of Insurance as an appointed executive officer.

Removes the 8-year term limit for the Commissioner of Insurance position in Section 23 of Article VI.

Allows individuals currently serving as Commissioner to complete their elected term and serve an additional 8 years under the new appointment system.

Secretary of State shall refer the amendment to voters for approval or rejection; President Pro Tempore of Senate shall file copies with Secretary of State and Attorney General.
