Creates the Dyslexia and Education Task Force comprised of 20 members including educators, students, parents, advocates, and state officials to operate until December 31, 2018

Task force shall develop a dyslexia handbook providing guidance to schools, students, and parents on identification, intervention, and support of students with dyslexia through accommodations and assistive technology

Task force duties include studying identification methods for students with reading difficulties, examining response-to-intervention processes and research-based approaches, and recommending appropriate resources and interventions

Requires organizational meeting by October 1, 2017, with chair and vice chair elected; members prohibited from receiving travel reimbursement; task force subject to Oklahoma Open Meeting Act and Open Records Act

Task force must issue findings report to Legislature and Governor by December 1, 2018; staff assistance provided by Oklahoma House and Senate; act effective immediately upon passage
