HB 2350 Summary

• Eliminates sales tax exemptions for tickets to professional athletic and sporting events held in facilities owned or operated by municipalities, counties, or public trusts effective July 1, 2017

• Removes previous exemptions for NBA, NHL, and other professional sporting events (ice hockey, baseball, basketball, football, arena football, soccer) that were previously tax-exempt when held in municipality or county-owned facilities

• Renumbers existing sales tax exemptions in 68 O.S. 2011, Section 1356 to account for removal of professional sporting event ticket exemptions

• Declares an emergency allowing the act to take effect immediately upon passage and approval rather than waiting for the July 1, 2017 effective date
