Amends 20 O.S. 2011, Section 92.1 to add a new qualification requirement for district judges in Oklahoma's 26 judicial districts.

Requires district judge candidates to have experience as lead counsel in a minimum of 3 jury trials brought to verdict prior to filing for office or appointment.

This trial experience requirement is in addition to qualifications required by Section 8 of Article VII of the Oklahoma Constitution and must be part of the candidate's experience as a licensed practicing attorney.

Updates statutory references from Sections 2-27 to Sections 92.22-92.27 of the Oklahoma Statutes title.

Becomes effective November 1, 2017.
