Senate Bill 721 Summary

• Amends 59 O.S. 2011, Section 509 to expand the definition of "unprofessional conduct" for physicians in Oklahoma.

• Adds provision requiring physicians to provide proper and safe medical facility settings with qualified assistive personnel for all recognized medical acts, including patient examinations, office surgery, and diagnostic services.

• Requires adequate medical records to be produced and maintained to support diagnosis, procedures, treatments, and prescribed medications.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2017.
