Board of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services shall promulgate certification rules for behavioral health case managers employed by the state, behavioral services providers contracting with the state, tribal facilities, or Department of Veterans Affairs facilities.

Behavioral health case managers certified by the Board may use the title "certified behavioral health case manager" only if employed by eligible entities (state, contracted providers, tribes, or veterans affairs facilities) and cannot practice licensed professions without separate licensure.

Board shall promulgate certification rules for peer recovery support specialists with similar employment categories expanded to include behavioral services providers certified by the Department.

Peer recovery support specialists certified by the Board may use the title "certified peer recovery support specialist" only if employed by eligible entities and cannot practice licensed professions without separate licensure.

Opioid substitution treatment programs deleted the requirement for a two-year addiction history, allowing treatment for persons with one-year history or those meeting clinical waiver criteria (recent incarceration, pregnancy, or prior treatment discharge).
