Oklahoma SB 782 - Radiologist Assistant and Radiologic Technologist Licensure Act

• Renames the "Radiologist Assistant Licensure Act" to the "Radiologist Assistant and Radiologic Technologist Licensure Act" to include radiologic technologists under the same regulatory framework.

• Allows radiologists to use both radiologist assistants and radiologic technologists licensed by the State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision under direct supervision of board-certified physicians, with radiologic technologists prohibited from interpreting images, making diagnoses, prescribing medications, or obtaining informed consent.

• Establishes a 7-member advisory committee consisting of physicians, radiologists, and one radiologist assistant and one radiologic technologist to advise the Board on licensing, scope of practice, and continuing education requirements.

• Sets maximum fees at $300 for licensure and renewal, $100 for reinstatement, and $100 for replacement/duplicate licenses; requires biennial license renewal with 30-day advance notice to licensees.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2017, and repeals Section 541.9 of Title 59 O.S. 2011.
