SB 790 Summary

• Exempts all legal resident veterans from annual fishing license requirements and defines "veteran" as a person who served in active military, naval, or air service and was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable.

• Exempts all legal resident veterans from annual hunting license requirements, regardless of disability status, replacing the previous 60% disability requirement.

• Adds "veteran" as a new exemption category to both the fishing license law (29 O.S. 2011, Section 4-110) and hunting license law (29 O.S. 2011, Section 4-112).

• Makes the exemptions effective January 1, 2018.
