SB 841 Summary

• Amends the "1921 Tulsa Race Riot Centennial Memorial Revolving Fund" for the Oklahoma Historical Society to clarify that it receives monies from appropriations, donations, and other sources designated for commemorating the centennial of the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot.

• Transfers any existing funds in the revolving fund created in Section 8201.2 of Title 74 of the Oklahoma Statutes to the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot Centennial Memorial Revolving Fund on the effective date.

• Amends the "Urban Gardens Grant Revolving Fund" for the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry to clarify that it receives state-appropriated funds, federal funds, donations, grants, and contributions from public or private sources designated for administering the Urban Gardens Grant Act.

• Establishes both revolving funds as continuing funds not subject to fiscal year limitations, with expenditures made upon warrants issued by the State Treasurer.

• Effective date is July 1, 2017, with an emergency declaration allowing the act to take effect immediately upon passage and approval.
