OK SJR39

Directs the Secretary of State to refer a proposed amendment to Section 57 of Article V of the Oklahoma Constitution to voters for approval or rejection.

Removes the requirement that every act of the Legislature embrace but one subject, while retaining exceptions for general appropriation bills, general revenue bills, and bills adopting a code, digest, or revision of statutes.

Directs the Secretary of State to refer a proposed amendment to Section 1 of Article XXIV of the Oklahoma Constitution to voters, which deletes the one subject requirement for constitutional amendment proposals submitted to voters.

Establishes the ballot title describing the measure as removing one subject requirements from both legislative acts and constitutional amendment proposals and removing unnecessary related language.

Requires the President Pro Tempore of the Senate to file one copy with the Secretary of State and one copy with the Attorney General immediately after passage.
