Amends 22 O.S. 2011, Section 7 to expand the definition of "signature" in criminal procedure to include digital or electronic signatures as defined in Section 15-102 of Title 12A of the Oklahoma Statutes.

Digital or electronic signatures are permitted in any case involving a misdemeanor under the new provision.

Maintains existing provisions allowing marks as signatures when a person cannot write, with the name written nearby and witnessed by another person.

Preserves exceptions for affidavits, depositions, and papers executed before a judicial officer, where attestation by the officer remains sufficient.

Effective date: November 1, 2021.
