• Clarifies that abortion does not include procedures intended to save the life or preserve the health of the unborn child, remove dead unborn children from spontaneous miscarriage or trauma, remove ectopic pregnancies, or treat maternal disease where the prescribed drug is medically indicated.

• Defines "serious health risk to the unborn child's mother" to exclude psychological or emotional conditions and prohibits determinations based on claims that the woman will engage in self-harm.
