Senate Bill 1574 Summary

• Amends the definition of "Record" in the Oklahoma Open Records Act to include applications and documents related to licensure matters filed in district court, specifically marriage licenses, process server licenses, closing out sale licenses, transient merchant licenses, pool hall licenses, and bail bondsmen registration.

• Maintains existing exclusions from the definition of "Record," which do not include computer software or nongovernment personal effects.

• Updates statutory references and language in Section 24A.3 of 51 O.S. 2021 to reflect changes made by Enrolled House Bill No. 3779 from the 2nd Session of the 59th Oklahoma Legislature.

• Takes effect November 1, 2024.
