HB 1063 Summary

• Enacts the "Anti-Fungi Act of 2025" establishing new mold treatment requirements for landlords under 41 O.S. 2021, Section 118.

• Requires landlords to begin appropriate mold treatment within three (3) business days of a report and complete treatment no later than seven (7) business days after the first day of treatment.

• Requires landlords to make repairs in a timely manner with respect to the situation or as outlined in the leasing agreement.

• Imposes penalties on landlords who violate mold treatment requirements: coverage of tenant medical bills arising from mold-related conditions and a fine not to exceed $1,000.00 payable to affected tenants.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
