Removes the requirement for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to obtain federal funding by January 1, 2022, and eliminates the mandate to seek and apply for federal grants for the Office of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons.

Mandates the Bureau shall create the Office of Liaison for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons regardless of federal funding status, instead of only upon securing federal funding.

Requires office staff to have significant experience working with tribal communities and includes a missing persons specialist position subject to available funding.

Office duties include coordinating with law enforcement on missing and murdered American Indian cases, developing best practices protocols, assisting families with NamUs database access, providing court navigation guidance, and facilitating training on missing and murdered indigenous persons issues.

Effective date: November 1, 2025.
