HB 1270 Summary

• ABLE Commission must notify applicants in writing within 10 days of receiving all required information if their application has deficiencies and describe what actions are needed to cure them.

• Applicants receive a reasonable period of time to provide additional information to complete their application after receiving notice of deficiencies.

• ABLE Commission must issue or deny a license within 20 days of the applicant's final submission, with denials required to be in writing stating specific reasons.

• Denial of an application results in refund of the application fee minus 10% retention for processing costs.

• Act becomes effective November 1, 2025.
