Public airports providing commercial services are prohibited from entering agreements allowing private third-party vendors offering expedited security screening to use standard security lanes or TSA PreCheck lanes

Agreements between public airports and private third-party vendors entered into before January 1, 2025 are exempt from the prohibition

The restriction does not apply if a private third-party vendor has obtained dedicated TSA security lanes solely for their own use at that airport

Airlines certified under 14 C.F.R. Part 121 are not considered private third-party vendors, and airline-offered priority lanes for their own passengers without separate third-party charges are exempt

Effective date: November 1, 2025
