HB 1301 Summary

• Creates the Task Force on Young Voter Engagement to continue until December 31, 2027, to examine voter turnout issues for voters under age 30 and provide recommendations to the Legislature and Governor's Office

• Establishes nine-member task force composed of three persons aged 18-24 appointed by the Governor, three appointed by the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, and three appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the State Senate

• Task force shall meet on the first Monday of each month until December 31, 2027, with the Oklahoma House of Representatives providing meeting space

• Meetings are subject to the Oklahoma Open Meetings Act outlined in Title 25

• Task force shall publish findings and recommendations by December 1, 2027, including recommendations for any resulting legislation; act becomes effective November 1, 2025
