HB 1376 Summary

• Increases OAME Board of Directors from 5 to 9 representatives elected by small and medium-sized manufacturing firms in Oklahoma

• Maintains 4 representatives elected by large corporations and adds 4 state governmental ex officio members: Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology Executive Director, Oklahoma Department of Commerce designee, Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education designee, and Chancellor of Higher Education

• Allows Board to elect up to 3 additional directors who are associate members or unaffiliated with OAME-qualifying entities

• Becomes effective July 1, 2025, with emergency clause allowing immediate effect upon passage and approval
