Oklahoma Department of Transportation shall erect signage designating a scenic route known as the True Grit Trail, beginning at US Highway 64 at the Arkansas state line and ending at the intersection of Oklahoma Highway 1 and US Highway 259, passing through multiple towns and Robbers Cave State Park.

ODOT shall erect informational highway signage designed or approved by the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department directing visitors to 15 sites of significant interest along the trail, including Sallisaw, Spiro, McAlester, Wilburton, Robbers Cave State Park, and the Talimena National Scenic Byway.

ODOT shall collaborate with the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department to maintain online resources for the True Grit Trail, including a map, information about sites of significant interest, and historical context.

Signage costs may be funded from private sources and cover initial erection, replacement, and reconstruction of signs; ODOT will place permanent markers upon receiving adequate funding.

Act becomes effective November 1, 2025.
