HB 1501 Summary

• Caps total commissions payable to public insurance adjusters at 10% of the insurance settlement amount, including all expenses, direct costs, and other accrued costs.

• Applies the 10% commission limit only when adjusters work for entities subject to The Governmental Tort Claims Act (Oklahoma Statutes Title 51, Section 151 et seq.).

• Creates new law codified as Section 6224 of Title 36 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
