Increases the maximum annual salary for county officers from $49,500 to $74,500 per annum, while keeping the minimum at $19,000 per annum.

Increases the maximum annual salary for sheriffs from the previous cap to $74,500 per annum, with a minimum of $44,000 per annum, ensuring sheriffs earn no less than other county officers.

Grants the board of county commissioners (or budget board members if under the County Budget Act) authority to set salaries for all elected county officials within the new legal limits.

Requires annual salaries to be paid either monthly or twice monthly by order of the county commissioners for each month or fraction thereof an official holds office.

Takes effect November 1, 2025.
