OK HB1735

Creates new Section 60.10 of Title 22 of the Oklahoma Statutes allowing evidence of prior acts of domestic violence or abuse to be admissible in criminal cases involving domestic violence or abuse charges.

Requires the state attorney to disclose such evidence to the defendant, including witness statements or testimony summaries, at least 15 days before trial commencement or at a later time approved by the court for good cause.

Defines "domestic violence or abuse" as controlling, coercive, or threatening behavior, violence, or other acts of abuse against a current or former partner or family/household member, including psychological, physical, sexual, economic, or emotional abuse.

Does not limit the admission of evidence under other existing rules or provisions of law.

Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
