HB1813 Summary

• Authorizes the Oklahoma Water Resources Board to enter into memorandums of understanding or contracts with the Oklahoma Rural Water Association and other Oklahoma-based not-for-profit entities governed by community water and wastewater systems.

• Eligible entities must have an established and proven history of relevant expertise to provide technical assistance and training.

• Purpose is to support board members and operators in providing uninterrupted assistance and services to water and wastewater systems serving rural residents.

• Creates new codification as Section 1324.27 of Title 82 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2025; passed by the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources Oversight on February 26, 2025.
