Employers are prohibited from retaliating against employees who request or use paid sick time, with violations subject to administrative penalties up to $500 and potential bar from state contracts

Employers with unpaid citations are barred from contracting with the state or political subdivisions, and employees may file civil suits with a 4-year statute of limitations to recover damages plus attorney fees

Effective November 1, 2025, with employer notice requirements beginning September 15, 2025; excludes federal employees, state/local government workers, railroad employees, and individuals working fewer than 80 hours annually in Oklahoma
