Eliminates straight-party voting by removing language allowing voters to mark ballots "for the party of his choice" and replacing it with voting for individual candidates or answers on questions.

Removes strikethrough text referencing party voting from Section 7-119, allowing voters to mark ballots only "for the voter's choice of candidates" or for answers on questions.

Maintains existing vote-counting rules including provisions that individual candidate markings take precedence over party markings for specific offices and that marking multiple parties invalidates all party office votes.

Preserves ballot validity rules allowing partial ballots to remain valid if properly marked for some candidates or questions even if improperly marked for others.

Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
