HB 2387 Summary

• Increases the Commission for Rehabilitation Services from three (3) members to seven (7) members.

• Expands appointments as follows: President Pro Tempore of Senate appoints two members (previously one), Speaker of House appoints two members (previously one), and Governor appoints three members (previously one).

• Establishes staggered transition schedule with current appointees serving until June 30, 2025-2027, and new members appointed beginning July 1, 2025.

• Maintains three-year terms for all members except during initial transition period, with members serving from July 1 through June 30 of the third year.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
