District Attorneys Council shall develop and implement a five-year Domestic Violence Forensic Exam Pilot Program contingent upon availability of funds to provide counties with qualified licensed health care professionals for conducting forensic exams of domestic violence victims.

Establishes a Domestic Violence Examination Fund in each participating county; Crime Victims Compensation Board shall set disbursement procedures with a maximum payment of $200.00 per forensic exam.

Qualified health care professionals must be a physician, registered nurse, or other licensed professional who completes a 40-hour didactic domestic violence examiners course and clinical competence requirements.

Counties with population over 300,000 according to the latest Federal Decennial Census may participate; smaller counties may participate subject to available funding and Crime Victims Compensation Board authorization.

District Attorneys Council may transfer funds from the Crime Victims Compensation Fund to the Domestic Violence Examination Fund and is authorized to make contracts and execute documents necessary to carry out the program, effective November 1, 2025.
