Increases judicial salaries effective July 1, 2025, with new base compensation for Supreme Court justices, appellate court judges, and district court judges.

Chief Justice salary increases from $172,049 to $198,212 annually; Associate Justice salary increases from $161,112 to $185,612 annually.

Court of Civil Appeals Presiding Judge salary increases from $155,459 to $179,099; Court of Civil Appeals Judge salary increases from $152,632 to $175,844.

Court of Criminal Appeals Presiding Judge salary increases from $166,765 to $192,126; District court judges' salaries increase from $145,567 to $167,703; Associate district judges' salaries increase from $134,261 to $154,678.

All salary increases must be paid from existing available funds and are subject to exceptions by the Board on Judicial Compensation after the effective date; bill declares an emergency and takes effect immediately upon passage and approval.
