Removes mandatory minimum 3-month jail sentence for misdemeanor pointing of a firearm, changing penalty to up to 12 months imprisonment and $100-$1,000 fine

Eliminates automatic handgun license revocation and administrative fines for license holders convicted of unlawfully pointing a firearm

Extends "stand your ground" protections to cover "occupied premises" in addition to dwellings, residences, vehicles, places of business, and places of worship

Declares an emergency, making the law effective immediately upon passage and approval (passed House March 25, 2025; passed Senate May 8, 2025)
