OK HB2823

Amends the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act to require persons carrying firearms to display state photo identification or valid driver license upon demand of law enforcement during arrest or routine traffic stop.

Expands acceptable identification documents to include valid state photo identification cards alongside valid handgun licenses, valid military identification cards, and valid driver licenses.

Removes the automatic dismissal of Section 1272 violations upon payment of court costs and proof of valid identification within 10 days of arrest.

Maintains prohibition on disarming individuals carrying lawful firearms without reasonable and articulable suspicion of other criminal activity, unless they fail to display required identification.

Becomes effective November 1, 2025.
