Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority shall issue credentials to employees of licensed medical marijuana businesses, with background checks conducted by the Authority or contracted third-party vendors within 30 days prior to application.

Medical marijuana business employees must submit proof of completion of educational training to receive a credential, with training covering state statutes, administrative rules, patient privacy requirements, and safe handling and storage of medical marijuana.

Beginning January 1, 2027, all employees of licensed medical marijuana businesses must annually complete educational training courses provided by or approved by the Authority and submit proof of completion to receive or renew their employee credential.

Applicants rejected for incomplete submissions have 30 days to resubmit required information; resubmitted applications that remain incomplete or contain non-clerical errors shall be denied unless the Authority determines otherwise.

Act becomes effective November 1, 2025.
