Recognizes the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) as the premier law enforcement investigative agency of Oklahoma for 100 years of service to citizens.

OSBI was created on March 28, 1925, as the State Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation with an initial appropriation of $78,000, and reduced bank robberies by 75% within one year through innovative use of informants.

OSBI operates with limited jurisdiction requiring lawful requests from other agencies, with original jurisdiction only in vehicle theft, oil field theft, threats against public officials, computer crimes, and turnpike violence.

Criminalistics Services Division was established in 1953 and operates two strategic forensic laboratories in Tahlequah and Edmond, including the state-of-the-art 80,000-square-foot Forensic Science Center completed in May 2008 in partnership with University of Central Oklahoma.

OSBI employs cutting-edge investigative techniques including digital and video forensics, Rapid DNA analysis, drones, forensic genetic genealogy, 3D crime scene scanning, and FastTRAX NIBIN ballistic comparison program, and serves as the central repository for all criminal records in Oklahoma.
